Positive Transition Services (PTS) is a nonprofit organization committed to helping those struggling with homelessness and poverty and striving to enhance their wellness. The organization serves reentry citizens and their families, individuals with a disability, veterans, individuals facing homelessness and elderly individuals. Services include job placement, training, counseling, free transportation assistance, credit repair, substance abuse prevention and mental health linkage. The goal of transitional housing is to ensure families and individuals live independently and transition into long term, permanent housing or apartments. In addition, PTS assists individuals with emergency housing to help them remain crime free. Their advocacy work includes providing support, guidance and help to navigate a complex system of community programs and application processes. While supporting the emotional, psychological, and social well-being of individuals, PTS conducts assessments, diagnosis, treatment or counseling in a professional relationship to assist an individual or group in easing mental or emotional illness, symptoms, conditions or disorders.
