ProCon – State Voting Laws & Policies for People with Felony Convictions

ProCon - State Voting Laws and Policies for People with Felony Convictions is a broad database of information on disenfranchisement. The goal of the ProCon database is to provide easy access to information related to voting laws and legislation at the state and federal level in an effort to increase access to voting for those with felony convictions. One way they do this is by maintaining a color-coded map of the United States that illustrates how each state approaches the restoration of voting rights following a felony conviction and incarceration. The organization also compiles a growing list of comments about felony disenfranchisement from community leaders, legislators and researchers involved with the criminal justice system. Various charts and video resources help educate the public about the problem of felony disenfranchisement and provide concrete solutions to further voting reform for individuals with felony convictions. For more information regarding voting rights restoration, consult the ProCon database.
