Description

Project RETURN (Returning Ex-offenders To Urban Realities and Neighborhoods), is a faith-based organization that assists formerly incarcerated people make a positive and permanent reentry into the community. Cross Lutheran Church founded the program to reduce the high recidivism rates in the Milwaukee area. Individuals work one-on-one with staff, many of whom are formerly incarcerated themselves, to determine the services they most need. Project RETURN assists participants with employment services by helping them to develop resumes, practice interview skills, and find potential employment. They also offer counseling services for chemical dependence, stable housing placement services, and ongoing support groups. Individuals can contact Project RETURN to discuss services and arrange for a meeting with staff.
