Description

Racine Vocational Ministry is a faith-based organization that works to help individuals develop life skills, find sustainable employment and become positive influences in the community. They use a holistic approach with every participant and center the place of faith in overcoming obstacles. RVM has several programs, including the Second Chance Program which focuses specifically on re-entry services. These services begin during pre-release, when individuals complete a risk assessment and work directly with a case manager to address their specific needs. During post-release, the case manager assists with goal-setting, community involvement, and job services. RVM also offers a job program that provides training and assistance with job placement. Participants in the Second Chance program are selected by staff at the Department of Corrections and RVM, while job services are available to community members in need.
