Return For Good is a reentry program offered by the Louisiana DOC. Through an online portal, the program connects second chance employers to returning citizens. The Reentry Workforce Portal connects employers with pre-filtered, pre-screened candidates based on their business needs. Employers can search for qualified applicants, view credentials, and conduct virtual interviews to identify and hire new employees for their businesses. Additionally, Return For Good provides employment readiness and skills training for successful reentry. The training programs include: carpentry, Certiport’s Internet and Computing Core Certification (IC3), Automotive Technology, Construction Site Safety Orientation, ServSafe food and beverage safety training and certificate program, welding program, Heating/Air-Conditioning/Refrigeration (HVAC) program and OSHA 30 training. These programs are offered during incarceration to provide skills and training needed to obtain a job in growing industries upon release. In addition, Louisiana Registered Apprenticeship Program allows individuals to work alongside the employer for hands-on training.
