RISE UP is a reintegration program created by Friendly House that aims to support justice impacted young adults while they transition back into society after involvement with the legal system. Support services are available to young adults between the ages of 18 to 24 years old. To ensure a successful reentry process, participants will work with a case worker to create an individual plan geared uniquely to them. Assistance may include monthly gas card or bus pass, GED classes & testing, job referrals, food boxes, utility assistance, education supplies, hygiene kits, employment clothing and tools, restoration of rights legal support, life skills, employment preparation workshops, paid work experience, and some qualified individuals may receive cell phones. To be considered for services, participants must be in the correct age range, have proof of residency and reside within the approved zip code bounds, current or prior justice system involvement at any given point, and no prior convictions of any sexual offenses.
