Section Title

RISE

RISE is a community based organization committed to disrupting the cycle of reincarceration and generational incarceration in the community. Their expressed mission is to reduce the rate of recidivism and support justice impacted families so that future generations do not fall prey to the generational cycle of incarceration if at all possible. The organization facilitates several programs, including programs that support currently incarcerated individuals, returning citizens, and loved ones impacted by incarceration. The RISE In-Prison program is a 6 month program centered on vocational services and behavioral adjustments that best prepare individuals for reentering the workforce after incarceration. Staff prefer individuals within 1-5 years of release for this program. Upon release, all graduates of the RISE In-Prison program have the opportunity to work with a reentry specialist for the first year after their release. This specialist will help to track progress toward goals, connect individuals with social service programs, and ensure that they meet any court ordered requirements of their release.
