Second Chance Reentry Initiative Mentoring Program (SCRIMP)

The Second Chance Reentry Initiative Mentoring Program (SCRIMP) is a community based organization assisting with reintegration. The goal of the program is to offer safe, stable, happy and productive practices to formerly incarcerated individuals and their families. One aspect of SCRIMP is Moral Recognition Therapy, a group that assists individuals most vulnerable to relapse and those with lengthy criminal pasts. The goal of this therapeutic intervention is to help shift behavioral and mental habits, to shift the thinking that would otherwise keep them in the cycle of incarceration. All participants must agree to complete the complete. SCRIMP program over a period of six months. Graduates of the program receive assistance with job readiness and job placement.
