SHISA House East – Women’s Halfway House

Shisa House Community Release and Re-Entry Center provides innovative solutions to social issues, including residential services and transitional housing. Shisa provides transitional housing for formerly incarcerated women at Shisa West in Tallahassee, Florida and Shisa House East, in Jacksonville, Florida. Women are eligible for intake at one of these houses after they pass the screening standards set and administered by the Florida Department of Corrections. Participants join a work-release program while in residence to develop job skills and promote self-sufficient living after graduation.
