Story Link Program

Section Title

Story Link Program

Story Link Program is a faith-based project developed to connect incarcerated parents with their children through reading. The program allows for incarcerated individuals to select a book, record themselves reading the book, then provide both their recording and a copy of the book to their child. In order to participate, individuals must demonstrate that they have been violation free for at least 90 consecutive days. Once they demonstrate this, individuals are allowed to select a book from the list provided. Volunteers will work with the individual to record themselves reading the book for their child. Participants are also permitted to include a brief note to their child in the book itself. Next, Story Link Program delivers both the recording and the book to the participant's child, giving them an opportunity to follow along as their incarcerated parent reads to them. For more information about the program, contact the organization directly.
