Streets of Joy

Streets of Joy is an organization committed to disrupting the cycle of reincarceration in the Mesa, Arizona community. Their vision is to serve as a support system for those at risk for recidivism, as well as those recovering from chemical dependence and/or experiencing homelessness. They understand that these barriers perpetuate the cycle of incarceration for individuals with criminal convictions. Streets of Joy provides numerous services designed to promote self-sufficient, independent living and permanent employment. Staff and volunteers also assist veterans with disabilities and low-income individuals through a combination of residential services, food pantries, transportation, wellness coaching and sober living mentorship. The transitional living program and 3/4 program offer opportunities for sober living communities, while the Second Chance program specifically supports individuals returning to the community after incarceration. Community members can apply for services or contact the organization with specific questions via the information provided on the Streets of Joy website.
