Total Action for Progress (TAP)

Total Action for Progress is an anti-poverty organization that helps individuals and families achieve economic and personal independence. Total Action for Progress offers direct services, working with individuals and families, to help them overcome their problems and improve their lives. Their goal is to help individuals assert themselves as advocates for their own needs. In order to achieve this goal, Total Action for Progress offers a wide variety of programs with topics like education, employment training, family services, financial services, and housing. Because people can’t begin to solve their long-range problems of poverty until their immediate physical needs have been met, all of TAP’s programs give priority to helping either directly or by referral to other local agencies and resources.
