Urban League’s Youth Adult Reentry Program

Urban League's Young Adult Reentry Program serves justice involved individuals ages 18 to 24 who are returning to the community. The organization operates in the greater Hartford area and specifically seeks to empower young adults who are no longer in high school and who have a criminal record. Through the program, eligible participants can receive support with obtaining credentials and degrees from local community colleges, completing job assessments and preparing to enter the workforce, personal development workshops and assistance with basic necessities. The goal of the program is to break the cycle of recidivism and help young people permanently return to the community. Staff and volunteers understand the importance of intervening with justice involved young people before their lives are defined by incarceration and criminal conviction. They seek to change the trajectory for participants and help guide them on a path toward independence. For more information, contact the program directly.
