The Virginia Dept. of Rehabilitation Services is a state-wide institution dedicated to connecting the unemployed, elderly and disabled with the aid and services they need. Their mission is to improve the employment, quality of life, security, and independence of older Virginians, Virginians with disabilities, and their families. The Virginia Dept. of Rehabilitation Services offers a multitude of programs ranging from general elderly care and dementia assistance, to vocational rehabilitation, brain injury services, and career pathways for individuals with disabilities.
Virginia CARES addresses on the successful reentry and de-institutionalization of incarcerated people in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Virginia CARES works to reduce recidivism and to provide education, job training and other support services to released individuals.
National H.I.R.E. Network works to increase the number and quality of job opportunities available to people with arrest and conviction records by changing public policies, employment practices, and public opinion.
