Wake Local Reentry Council

The Wake Local Reentry Council (LRC) is a group of organizations that seek to help men and women transition back into the community after being released from prison. Wake LRC is housed within an NCWorks Career Center, providing candidates with direct access to education, training, and career opportunities. Their purpose is to improve the social and economic well-being of justice-impacted individuals released from prison. The group's mission is to reduce recidivism and victimization while increasing public/community safety by establishing an effective network of people and organizations supporting citizens and families with the problems of transitioning out of jail. At Wake LRC, referrals are always welcome. Individuals can self-refer for reentry support, and service providers can refer customers. Furthermore, they are constantly working on expanding their network. There are numerous ways to participate in Wake LRC programs. For more information about specific services, contact the organization directly using the information on this page.
