GEO Rehabilitation and Reentry Innovators is a community advocacy group focused on reducing recidivism through collaboration and policy changes. GEO clarifies that they do not manage facilities working with unaccompanied minors or border patrol facilities, nor do they manage facilities with tent structures or chain-link fencing areas. All facilities managed by GEO comply with Obama-Biden detention standards. Immigrants stay an average of 30 to 60 days in their immigration facilities, as well as federal detention centers for undocumented individuals. Their Continuum of Care program provides rehabilitation and post-release support services in an effort to reduce recidivism and assist formerly incarcerated individuals with permanent reentry into the community. This program is specifically for individuals who remain in the custody of state or federal governments, meeting the requirements of supervised release through treatment, personal development workshops and community based interventions.
