Welcome Home Re-Entry Program

Welcome Home Reentry Program is part of the National Institute of Corrections and offers support for formerly incarcerated individuals. Welcome Home Reentry Program serves individuals released into Montgomery, Prince Georges or DC Counties. The program provides support to individuals of all faiths, drawing on volunteers from local religious and civic organizations committed to supporting justice involved individuals. All volunteers with the program commit for a minimum of twelve months of service to ensure that participants in the program receive consistent peer mentorship for an extended period of time. The program primarily serves men, but does include a support system for formerly incarcerated women. All participants in the program match with a mentor when they begin living in a halfway house or entering a work release program. Additionally, participants may request support with educational pursuits. For more information about specific services, individuals should contact the organization directly using the information on this page.
