Wildcat

Wildcat is a community based organization designed to assist individuals and families with involvement in the criminal justice system. Their mission is to offer holistic services and encourage restorative justice. Wildcat staff and volunteers focus on key barriers to successful, independent living: transitional job opportunities, job skills training and placement services. The organization believes that assisting formerly incarcerated individuals and those facing housing or financial insecurity with reentering the workforce is a key element in reducing poverty and disrupting the cycle of recidivism. Additionally, Wildcat works with policymakers to address community support systems and ensure that individuals have access to transitional housing, mentorship programs and treatment for trauma after exiting the corrections system. Their holistic approach to improving the lives of justice involved individuals helps to improve both the immediate conditions in the community and long term support systems for those reentering the community after incarceration for generations to come.
