Arizona Advocates for Ex-Offenders

Arizona Advocates for Ex-Offenders is a nonprofit organization committed to disrupting the cycle of recidivism and preventing youth incarceration. Their mission is to address reincarceration through community engagement and embedded services. Staff and volunteers are dedicated to serving formerly incarcerated individuals and at-risk individuals through direct assistance, education and peer mentorship. They hope to ensure a successful reentry for all adults and youth exiting the correctional system in Arizona. In addition to peer support, Arizona Advocates for Ex-Offenders provides job development services to assist individuals with identifying marketable skills, completing applications and practicing interviewing techniques. They also offer courses on financial independence and healthy eating habits to promote sustainable, self-sufficient living after incarceration. Individuals may be eligible for referrals to local organizations that offer legal representation, recovery and support for those with chemical dependence, mental health support and misdemeanor court violations. Individuals can contact the organization directly for more information or to discuss eligible services.
