How to Justice’s Importance

Despite being home to just 5% of the world’s population, the U.S. is home to nearly 25% of the world’s prisoners. As the Washington Post fact checker put it, “Yes, [the] U.S. locks up people at a higher rate than any other country.” With so many people locked up, justice-impacted people and their loved ones need a place to turn to for accurate, easy-to-read information. How to Justice aims to provide that information.

How to Justice’s Commitment

The team at How to Justice is committed to achieving a world where the people and families impacted by the justice system can find the answers to the questions they have. We do this by working with experts to provide information, connecting you to nationwide resource and, most importantly, lifting, empowering and dignifying justice-impacted voices.

How to Justice’s People

To achieve its goals, How to Justice needs people with a variety of different backgrounds. We need people with an academic expertise like lawyers, journalists and analysts. But we also need people with real-life expertise. That’s where justice-impacted people come in.
