Central Kentucky Reentry Coalition

Description

The Central Kentucky Reentry Coalition is a community service organization located in Elizabethtown, specializing in reentry services and related issues for returning citizens. The Central Kentucky Reentry Coalition provides services for returning citizens in Breckenridge, Grayson, Hardin, Meade and LaRue counties. This Coalition is an initiative by the Kentucky Department of Corrections, Division of Reentry Services. Their mission is to improve involvement within the criminal justice system by creating individualized reentry plans and empowering individuals with resources, support and programming, to promote successful reintegration into the community. They aim to help all they serve to achieve a successful reintegration into society, beginning with the first day of incarceration or supervision. The division works with the justice-involved population to enhance communities by aiding in the transition of the individuals becoming pro-social members of society. Moreover, the department's Reentry Mentor Initiative provides the justice-involved population an opportunity to be paired with a mentor who will help them identify and work towards life goals, navigate the barriers they will face returning to the community after being incarcerated, and develop pro-social interpersonal and community relationships. The mentor relationship will begin while the individual is incarcerated and continue after being released. To receive services, the Central Kentucky Reentry Coalition urges you to contact them directly, via email or by phone.
