Centerforce

Centerforce is a community based organization offering reentry services to individuals in the San Francisco Bay Area. Despite the COVID 19 pandemic, the organization remains deeply dedicated to protecting the rights of those affected by mass incarceration, police brutality and social injustice. Their mission is to improve the lives of individuals and families affected by incarceration. They typically serve participants who have a history of incarceration, as well the loved ones and communities most affected by incarceration. Centerforce operates numerous programs, including case management for individuals transitioning into the community and gender responsive services, as well as assistance with chemical dependence and court mandated counseling for justice involved youth. Participants are trained and mentored in life skills to help break the cycle of recidivism and give them the best opportunity to return to the community permanently.
