Human Resource Development Foundation, Inc. (HRDF) is a non-profit organization that provides economically disadvantaged West Virginians with opportunities for self-sufficiency and improved living conditions. Their mission is to assist thousands of West Virginians through advocacy, empowerment, and the successful administration of a wide variety of employment, occupational skill training and educational programs. HRDF's employment and training initiatives focus on providing services to disadvantaged youth, the formerly incarcerated population, and dislocated workers. These services are provided through an array of programs funded by the United States Department of Labor, WorkForce WV, West Virginia Workforce Development Boards 2, 3, and 4, and the West Virginia Department of Health Department and Human Services. In addition, their Community Rehabilitation Program provides Community-Based Assessments i.e., the opportunity to explore different jobs at community business sites to assist them in making an informed choice toward a vocational goal, life skills, direct placement or supported employment and job coaching.
