Johnson County District Court Help Center

Johnson County District Court Help Center

Description

Johnson County District Court Help Center provides resources for individuals representing themselves in the Johnson County District Court. The Help Center offers court forms and instructions, case and docket information, court form review, access to statutes and rules, assistance filing court forms, referrals to minimal cost or free legal assistance, and rereads to social service agencies if needed. Their focus is primarily family law, including divorces with or without children, paternity cases, child support issues, parenting plans, and related issues. They also offer limited resources and forms to help with criminal expungements, tenant landlord disputes, name changes, adoptions, and guardian and conservator reports. The Help Center staff are Court Clerks who cannot give legal advice. Most of their instructions and form pleadings are available online and should be reviewed before a visit to the Help Center. If clients cannot complete the forms at home, or require more help, they may use the Help Center computers to prepare and print documents. Contact the Johnson County District Court Help Center for more information on their services.
