Description

The mission of H.O.P.E., Inc. is to invigorate citizens, corporations, businesses, individuals, and organizations toward community development. Their goal is to motivate these community leaders into addressing the needs of indigent individuals and families, particularly those of low-income children survivors of domestic abuse, (COIP) Children Of Imprisoned Parents, individuals experiencing chronic homelessness, and the underserved. They pursue their mission by offering decent, safe and affordable housing, and by helping individuals in preparation for educational, nutritional and employment opportunities that empower young people and community members as a whole. Since its inception, H.O.P.E., Inc. has operated a combined 108 Section 42 apartment units, which has permitted H.O.P.E., Inc. to improve its social services/education model to include affordable housing for low to moderate income individuals and families, the disadvantaged, the chronically homeless, single mothers, mental and physically challenged individuals, re-entering ex-offenders, and the working poor. H.O.P.E., Inc. has helped to reintegrate more than 2,500 formerly incarcerated individuals.
