VOA Correctional Reentry Services
Description
Volunteers of America Correctional Reentry Services serves formerly incarcerated individuals who are returning to the community. They understand the barriers that individuals face when reintegrating, as well as how access to safe housing, stable employment and case management can help break the cycle of recidivism. Their case management services are reserved for first time offenders and those with misdemeanors like driving under the influence. Correctional Reentry Services also provides transitional housing and intensive in-patient services for individuals in recovery. Community Sanction and Re-Entry Centers offer literacy training, alcohol and substance abuse treatment, job development and housing placement. The mission of Volunteers of America Correctional Reentry Services is to ensure that justice involved people have access to a broad range of services that specifically address the many challenges they face due to criminal conviction.
