Minnesota State Careerwise Career Planning for People with a Criminal Conviction
Description
Minnesota State Careerwise Career Planning for People with a Criminal Conviction is a user friendly database of job resources. The mission of the project is to ease the transition back into the workforce after incarceration. Staff and volunteers understand the many barriers that people with criminal convictions face when trying to secure and maintain employment. To help address these barriers and support efforts to reach financial security without turning to criminal activity, the Minnesota State Careerwise database combines links to concrete resources and social service organizations with written resources that offer advice for individuals about how to prepare for, secure and succeed in job interviews, as well as how to make strong financial plans for the future. Their hope is that these resources will help disrupt the cycle of recidivism and give formerly incarcerated individuals the best chance at independent living.
