Middle Tennessee Rural Reentry, or MTRR, is a nonprofit organization offering reentry services to justice-impacted individuals. Headquartered in Winchester, Tennessee, on the grounds of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, MTRR provides services in Franklin, Coffee, Warren and Grundy Counties. Their mission is to provide quality community reentry services that will reduce recidivism, empower individuals to enter gainful employment, lead productive lives and return to safer communities. MTRR offers a job readiness class that trains participants in areas necessary to secure and keep a job. Training consists of Resume Development, Correct Application Completion, Appropriate Interviewing Skills, “Dress for Success,” How to Maintain Employment and Acceptable Work Behaviors. Additionally, individuals are provided job placement services to help them gain employment. Other post-release services include case management, assistance in securing ID’s, Birth Certificates, Social Security Cards, referrals for housing and transportation, assistance in follow-up with probation and parole, assistance with applying for health care, referrals for health and human services, assistance in follow-up with substance abuse and mental health services and 12 month follow-up services.
