Mentor Care
Description
MentorCare is a faith-based ministry that helps incarcerated people inside prisons and after their release. MentorCare believes the key issue facing our criminal justice system is reentry. Therefore, the ministry specializes in teaching, mentor training, understanding the criminal mind, ministry analysis, fundraising and literature development. In prison, MentorCare uses its program "Preparing for Success on the Outside." It is a four-month program offered to incarcerated people before they are released. Currently, they offer teachings at the Tarrant County Jail. Later in the course, they move on to practical issues like budgeting, job search, interview skills, and writing a resumé. The program helps everyone set personal goals in five main areas of their life. This way, they have a written plan for their future. MentorCare also works alongside other groups to establish Bible study, mentoring programs and special worship services. Contact this organization directly to learn more about their prison ministerial services.
