NH Women’s Bar Association Women to Women Project
Description
The New Hampshire Women's Bar Association (NHWBA) is a nonprofit organization that supports women's growth and interests in the legal profession through leadership, professional development, and education. The organization's mission is to ensure equity for women in New Hampshire's legal profession regarding access, opportunity, and success. The NHWBA and the New Hampshire Department of Corrections have collaborated to launch the Women to Women Project, which will connect New Hampshire licensed attorneys with an incarcerated woman at the New Hampshire State Prison for Women. The project aims to give legal information around various areas of interest to female incarcerated individuals. In addition, the project offers authorized practitioners the chance to provide the underserved community with little legal advice and information on a wide range of legal matters. Through the project, the association's Public Service Committee supervises a few bi-monthly, in-person, on-site information sessions for the female prison population on various legal subjects.
