Mental Health Association of Nebraska
Description
Mental Health Association of Nebraska is a community based organization that promotes alternatives to incarceration whenever possible. Their mission is to offer treatment services and support for individuals living with mental illness or seeking treatment for substance abuse disorders. Higher Opportunities through the Power of Employment (HOPE) is a program developed to help prepare individuals for entry into the workforce after the successful treatment of underlying disorders. The organization partners with employers in the area to connect individuals with job placement services and potential employers who are sympathetic to the challenges inherent to securing a job after treatment or incarceration. Mental Health Association of Nebraska also offers reentry services to those who are within 18 months of release. Eligibility includes proof of mental health diagnosis or current court supervision (parole or probation).
