Oklahoma Goodwill Reentry Preparation Program

Oklahoma Goodwill Reentry Preparation Program

Description

Goodwill is a national organization helping people overcome challenges to employment and reducing incarceration across the country. The Goodwill Central Oklahoma chapter operates a Reentry Preparation Program specifically designed to assist formerly incarcerated individuals as they return to the community. The program focuses on providing tangible employment services to individuals with criminal convictions in the hopes that these individuals can begin on a pathway toward self-sufficiency. It is a two month program, free for justice involved individuals. Participants can receive assistance with career planning, training completion, job searches, resume building, interview preparation and government funding for certifications. Additionally, individuals receive hands-on experience by working as Goodwill employees through one of their job openings and can get paid to learn. The newly introduced virtual reality forklift classes and virtual reality interviewing training programs helps participants navigate interviews.
