Neighbors' Consejo is a non-profit organization committed to providing free mental health services and community support to the Latino, African-American and other community members who are vulnerable in the Washington, D.C. area. Their mission is to offer culturally and linguistically responsible support for the underserved and/or uninsured members of the DC community. Neighbors' Consejo strives to invest the community in reforming detrimental behavior and thought processes, strengthening relationships with community members, and continuing education for a more inclusive future. Their services include outpatient mental health support, as well as an outreach program for the unhoused and those recovering from chemical dependence. Individuals can request intake by scheduling an appointment for screening and assessment. Their staff are available 24/7 for questions or to schedule an interview.
