Emmaus, Inc.

Emmaus is a nonprofit organization that is committed to helping individuals and families out of homelessness in the Haverhill, Massachusetts area. Emmaus is called by collective social responsibility to provide for struggling individuals with no where else to turn. Since their foundation in 1985, Emmaus has assisted more than 35,000 women, men and children become self-sufficient and rebuild their lives. Their program services include emergency shelter, homeless prevention, housing stabilization, and affordable housing. In addition to housing programs, Emmaus opened D’Youville Center For Social Justice in 2016 to expand on their their mission of defeating homelessness. This supplementary resource center is only available to clients of Emmaus. Program services include parenting workshops, financial wellness education, career services, life skills, art therapy, child development enrichment, and food distribution.
