Mississippi Prison Industries Corp.

Mississippi Prison Industries Corp. is a nonprofit organization that supports incarcerated and formerly incarcerated individuals through job development. They do not receive any funding from the state, but operates exclusively from the sale of its own products and goods. All profit is reinvested into the company to provide on-the-job training, job placement and career development courses to justice-impacted individuals. Incarcerated individuals may be eligible to complete job training and gain valuable work experience while serving time in a correctional facility. Mississippi Prison Industries works to promote positive self-worth, respect for the community and interpersonal skills, as well as develop the job-specific skills to gain financial independence after release. Individuals receive training for industrial work, including quality production, warehouse and logistics, and service-oriented skills. Their mission is to improve the likelihood of successful reentry and disrupt the cycle of incarceration through personal development and financial independence.
