Description
City of Refuge is a faith-based community organization that believes in the power of spiritual guidance for Atlanta's most vulnerable populations. Their mission is to offer support services in collaboration with community partners to assist individuals and families working toward a permanent and independent lifestyle. They focus on four key areas: Wellness, Residence, Job Development and Youth Services. City of Refuge maintains the 180 Kitchen where community members can receive three hot meals per day, as well as the Mercy Care Clinic which offers assistance with medical, dental, vision and mental health services. They also operate the Workforce Innovation Hub for individuals who require assistance reentering the workforce or obtaining full-time employment. Eden Village is a community for single mothers with children who are experiencing housing insecurity. City of Refuge also maintains numerous youth programs, including childcare for ages 6 weeks to 5 years, after school care for young children and after school camps for older youth.
