North Lawndale Employment Network

North Lawndale Employment Network is a coalition which serves individuals who struggle with permanent employment. They are dedicated to providing job development and placement support for unemployed and underemployed residents, including formerly incarcerated individuals who face barriers to reentering the workforce. Their goal is to assist all individuals on a path toward financial security and independent living. North Lawndale Employment Network operates several programs for individuals entering the workforce and partners with employers in the community to create a mutual partnership that benefits everyone. The U-Turn Permitted program is designed specifically for individuals with one more felony convictions who are committed to changing their lives and reentering the community for good. They assist individuals through educational gaps and place them in a job readiness program that prepares them for industry employers. Graduates of the program are eligible to continue into the Sweet Beginnings program, the Moving Forward Program or direct employment in the community.
