Crossroads Solar

Crossroads Solar offers a pathway for formerly incarcerated individuals to reenter the workforce and achieve financial security. They were founded on the belief that all individuals deserve a second chance, and that includes individuals reentering the community with criminal convictions. Crossroads Solar is committed to disrupting the cycle of recidivism through gainful employment and opportunities for peer mentorship. Most employees at Crossroads Solar served time, which creates a community among workers through shared understanding and shared experiences. The organization also offers these individuals the chance to directly impact the environment through the production and marketing of solar panels which facilitate more sustainable energy consumption. Crossroads Solar also partners with Moreau College Initiative and offers opportunities for individuals who complete the Bachelor of Arts project at Moreau College during incarceration. Crossroads Solar offers living wages and full benefits to employees, allowing formerly incarcerated individuals the best chance at permanent reentry into the community.
