Reentry Campus Program

Description

The Reentry Campus Program is designed to support incarcerated and formerly incarcerated individuals through educational opportunities. Their mission is to empower justice-impacted individuals by making pathways to higher education and certification programs more accessible both during and after incarceration. Their services begin pre-release to best prepare incarcerated individuals for successful reentry into the community. Reentry Campus Program offers several programs for specific populations. The Behind the Walls program offers more than a dozen courses for currently incarcerated individuals which help prepare them for the workforce and for self-sufficient living after release. Discharge Planning is a program which supports individuals within 6 months of their release date through coaching, life planning and assistance obtaining government documentation necessary to secure housing, employment and healthcare. The organization also offers correspondence courses to obtain a case management certificate, empowering justice-impacted individuals to act as future mentors for others as they exit the corrections system.
