Description

Southbend Community Reentry Center is an organization committed to providing support for individuals reentering the Southbend community. The organization works directly with the Indiana Department of Corrections to provide support services to incarcerated individuals ahead of release. Participants of the program begin services certain adults within twelve months of release from Indiana corrections facilities. As one of just two state-run reentry programs, Southbend Community Reentry Center serves individuals throughout the northern half of Indiana. They have designed the program with the expressed intent of supporting individuals with a long history in the justice system. Southbend Community Reentry Center begins with pre-Work Release readiness programming to prepare individuals for gainful employment as soon as they are eligible. Individuals also receive coursework in treatment, recovery from chemical dependence and behavioral recalibration.
