Georgia Department of Community Supervision Reentry Services

Description

Georgia Department of Community Supervision Reentry Services is a division of the Georgia Department of Corrections. Their mission is to help prepare justice involved individuals for reentry into the community through a series of programs that address common barriers to successful reintegration. These programs are available to individuals from pre-release to parole and probation. Pre-release programs begin as soon as individuals enter the facility and focus on closing any gaps that may cause issue for individuals upon release. This may include vocational programming, treatment services for chemical dependence and mental health, and educational programming. The Georgia Department of Community Supervision Reentry Services also maintains Day Reporting Centers that assist high risk and high need individuals who have reentered the community. These centers do not include residential services, but they do provide ongoing services for individuals who are struggling to reintegrate.
