Homes for the Brave is a nonprofit organization committed to providing housing and support services to Veterans struggling with homelessness. This Bridgeport, Connecticut based agency opened their doors in 2002 with a mission of assisting veterans as they exit homelessness to lead more productive and meaningful lives. Housing is provided in three different locations for both men and women. In addition to housing assistance, Homes for the Brave also offers vocational training, life skills coaching, mental health care, veterans drop-in service center, and assistance maintaining livable income. Homes for the Brave program approach empowers men, women and families to attain affordable, safe housing, and lead a more meaningful life.
