180 Degrees’ Brittany’s Place

180 Degrees is a nonprofit organization that creates safe spaces and services that honor each individual's healing journey. Britanny's Place is a residential program for girls experiencing or at risk of commercial sex trafficking or is at high risk for sexual exploitation. They offer private rooms, comfortable, shared living space, and recreational areas, home-cooking, medical care, and support from experienced, caring staff to begin the healing journey. The program is tailored to meet individual needs and address the harm caused by trafficking. Through one-to-one support, group and structured activities, girls discover strengths, build self-esteem, gain independent living skills, and enact plans to move forward in positive, new directions. Brittany's Place Case Managers support girls, identifying and accessing community resources, planning for the next step on their journey, and locating stable housing specific to each resident's needs.

Brittany's Place meets the highest standards for trauma-informed care, program design, and service philosophy.  As a statewide leader working with survivors of sex trafficking, 180 Degrees staff includes a "Safe Harbor Regional Navigator", one of eight Minnesota Department of Health-funded leaders providing training, case consultation, and expertise in addressing sex trafficking of youth.
