A Second Chance Resource Center United, Inc., or ASCRC, is a nonprofit organization that provides support services to formerly incarcerated individuals and those struggling with substance abuse. ASCRC provides parenting education, case management, job readiness and career planning, tutoring and mentoring, financial literacy, arts and culture historic preservation education, and various workshops and seminars. They also offer referrals that empower and strengthen low-income individuals and families. Additionally, ASCRC provides a wide range of programs to suit each program participants needs including resources for reentry, economic development, individualized mentorship, and other related needs. The Job Readiness program provides pre-employment and soft-skill training, job search, job coaching, job placement assistance and post-placement services to guide people to permanent employment and self-sufficiency. The Phoenix Transitional Housing program provides transitional housing services to justice-involved individuals experiencing homelessness. ASCRC also assists youth involved in the criminal justice system through their Re-Link program.
