ACLU Kentucky

The American Civil Liberties Union is one of the largest advocacy groups in the country and focuses on social justice for all. ACLU Kentucky applies the national mission to all Kentuckians, working directly with legislators to enact policies that protect the rights of all citizens and ensure equitable justice for all individuals. They have helped foster school desegregation throughout the state, promote policies that ensure the separate of church and state, advocate for reproductive rights, help draft and pass policies that reform the criminal justice system and defend the right to employment for all Kentuckians. Individuals who have experienced injustice can contact the program directly to discuss their situation and receive assistance with pursuing justice. Their legal team frequently engages with individuals to protect and defend individual rights in the criminal justice system, including instances where local employers or housing communities discriminate against those with disabilities and/or a criminal conviction.
