Ada County, ID Public Defender’s Juvenile Division
The Ada County Public Defender's Juvenile Division is located in Boise, ID. Led by the Chief Public Defender, the Juvenile Division provides legal representation to persons under the ages of 18 who cannot afford the services of private counsel. The Ada County Public Defender's Office employs 64 attorneys, 19 support staff members, eight investigators and one social worker. The Office of the Ada County Public Defender's Juvenile Division can be appointed to represent indigent persons in Juvenile Cases, child protection matters and termination of parental rights. In addition, if the crime for which a person has been charged carries a possible jail or prison sentence, the Public Defender can be appointed by the court to represent them.
