Adult Education Division

The Adult Education Division of the Arkansas Division of Workforce Services assists individuals with job development and training. For more than fifty years, staff have worked with adults who require support to obtain high school diplomas and equivalency diplomas, as well as those who benefit from skills development for the modern workforce. Their goal is to help eradicate poverty throughout Arkansas by supporting individuals through the process of becoming job ready and financially independent. The Adult Education Division's mission is to offer the necessary supports to improve academic success, earn GED credentials and become self-sufficient members of the Arkansas community. Their free services include education courses for high school diplomas, workplace knowledge, correctional facility education and adult literacy. Staff are also trained to offer English as a Second Language courses for non-native English speakers and provide screening for adults with learning disabilities. Individuals can contact the organization directly for more information or to discuss available services.
