Arizona Kinship Support Services

Description

Arizona's Children Association provides Arizona Kinship Support Services for children of incarcerated parents and their caregivers. Founded in 1912, this nonprofit organization provides comprehensive child welfare and behavioral health services for over 40,000 families per year. They provide many kinship care programs to help support families and their potential to provide a positive alternative to traditional foster care. Participants of their Children of Incarcerated Parents program can expect to find support groups for adults, teens, and youth, parenting education courses, guardianship and adoption support, legal resources, connections to food, housing, and clothing resources, and continued support to encourage the visitation of the incarcerated parent. They also provide much needed assistance with government agencies, including the Arizona Department of Corrections and county jails. Additionally, they assist with completing benefit applications such as TANF, AHCCCS and Kids Care. Contact Arizona's Children Association directly for answers to any questions or more information on their kinship support services.
