Austin Clubhouse is a membership-based organization that provides supportive services to individuals with a diagnosed mental health condition. Their primary focus areas are employment, housing, education and wellness. The Clubhouse is a place to build relationships, spend the day, and receive assistance with personal goals like going back to school or finding a job. Members are offered support to find and keep jobs in the community through the Transitional, Supported and Independent Employment program. Austin Clubhouse collaborates with local housing organizations to help members find and obtain safe and affordable housing, whether that is a crisis shelter or permanent housing. Staff also provides assistance identifying housing options, locating waitlist openings and completing rental applications. Other program services include assistance identifying educational goals, applying for financial aid, negotiating admissions, obtaining peer support and and tutoring to succeed in school.
