Best Chance is a nonprofit organization that helps people transitioning from prison to life outside by providing programs that help with finding employment, housing, and healthy relationships. In addition, the organization works to prevent recidivism by encouraging meaningful engagement and stress management. Services provided include peer support and transition planning, help with paying for and obtaining identification records, clothing, hygiene products, and other material support, referrals, transportation, brain damage assessment, life skills training, and support groups with meals. Returning citizens are provided support that allows them to reduce stress and transition from prison to productive lives in the community. Best Chance provides a core curriculum and life skills training that focuses on getting and keeping a job, emotional regulation, comfort with technology, budgeting and financial management, health and wellness, and the Importance of life long learning.
